Poker In Canada Is Still Going Strong

The main reason for this has to do not necessarily with the country of Canada, but rather with the country that is located on Canadas southern border. This country is none other than the United States and while there has been a resurgence in pro-gambling sentiment online in that country, the overall legality of online gambling is still very much in question in the United States. Since the United States is very much the worlds only superpower at the moment, one can imagine that Canada would be influenced greatly by the US and one of the areas in which that influence shows is online gambling.

This was brought home very much to Canadians when their Canadian poker deals took a massive hit with the closing of NETeller inside Canadian borders. Poker Canada took a big hit along with the rest of the country mostly because of the fact that NETeller was really the universally accepted method for transferring payments to and from online poker websites. However, NETeller understood the idea of influence that was discussed in the previous paragraph and when their offices in the United States were raided by federal agents, their time on the North American continent was numbered. Their exit of the Canadian texas holdem deals market was not surprising to many analysts, but it really did shock many Canadian poker players.

However, it looks as though the departure of NETeller has really not affected Canadian poker deals as much as many people might have expected. People still play texas holdem online in Canada and people still make purchases of poker items online. There are many payment processors that have sprung up to take the place of NETeller in the poker Canada market and since there is no anti-online gambling legislation in the country people can still use their credit cards and debit cards to make payments to those same online websites. Ultimately, the departure of NETeller from its place in the Canadian poker market is something that really is much ado about nothing as it seems as though the stalwart Canadians have just continued on as normal.

For the average Canadian interested in canadian texas holdem deals, this is a very good thing indeed. It means that if they find a particular bonus at a particular online poker website, they still have the ability to go and get it immediately. If they find any great Canadian poker deals online in terms of chips and money, they are also free to go get it. People that play online texas holem in Canada still have close to total freedom in choosing their online poker entertainment and that is something that is a great relief to many of them as just a year ago the future was really in question. Canadian poker deals are still strong however and the future of poker canada looks very bright indeed.
